Short sight and its correction

This animation shows a short sighted eye. Short sight occurs either because the eye lens is too strong or the eyeball is too long. In each case the image is formed in front of the retina and the person therefore sees a fuzzy view of the object.

Short sight can be corrected using a concave lens.
